Thoughts from our CBS today, Is Jesus not really involved in politics?

i was wondering over this question when we came across a point that christians should not get involved with politics.

the account of john 6:14, 15 indicates that jesus refused the change to be made king of the jews.

therefore witnesses concluded that jesus don't want to get involved with political power or politics and so his followers should not get involve in politics.. but this conclucion seems very contradicting & quite suspecious, since jesus knows he will become king (a political figure) of not only to the jews but to the whole world in the future.

One definition of politics according to American Heritage dictionary is The art or science of government or governing, especially the governing of a political entity, such as a nation, and the administration and control of its internal and external affairs, and the methods or tactics involved in managing a state or government. Infact he is going to gather & judge nations. This is a very polical activity.

Moreover, we witnesses is always advocating God's Government to be the answer to all problems. theocracy we call it, a form of government and by its very nature a polical activity.

I find this very disturbing because it would seem that the authors of this book doesn't know the meaning of the word POLITICS.

@greendawn, I thought God has a free giving spirit, that he expects nothing in return, giving for the sake of giving not wanting to get a favor back, & that he abides with the notion that he has more joy in giving than in receiving!!!

Wow!!! very nice arguments both sides!! Its my first glimps on the Satanic side and its very intriguing & interesting!! But Jcanon made also his case for jesus and really put a stopper for those who might sympathize with satan. However, reading Jcanons comments make me wonder if he/she is smoking pot!!! He's describing things which are almost illusionary. Are you in a high Jcanon? No offense, i do like reading your posts. regardless, the satanist case seemed more solid and intriguing aspect.

it was suggested i retitle and repost it as my title did not really convey what the topic was about, so here it is again.. i was looking at who incited david to take the census, satan or jahooba (2 sam 24:1 vs 1 chron 21:1).

"Remember that every living thing back then were herbivores, so all Noah needed to bring was plants and grass etc. Back then there were only a few 'kinds' of animals within a confined area of the globe (it's only ~1500 years after creation, you know), and all the variety of today comes from them (but no evolution occurred!). Any other questions you may have, are answered by one simple statement: God took care of that . So there - try to come back with science against that ! God can do anything. Of course - God could have simply put a force field around every living creature he decided to spare, or used a completely different method than a flood, but then Noah wouldn't have been tested, and wouldn't have had much to do with his time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------- Very nice answer awakened07, Its like starwars then. but considering that Land animals were made in 4th or 5th creative day which the WT thinks to be thousands or millions of years its contradicting to assume that the animals were only confined around the vicinity of Noah.

Not only this ridiculous theory is funny but also the biblical account as well. when i read the account of noah's flood, floating in an ark for about i year, i really wonder how could he feed each animal since each animal has its own unique food, and how could he store these supplies inside the arc without being rotten, where to get flesh water, how could he attend to disposal of waste. Moreover each animal has its own habitat and unique environment, so how could he regulate temperature,humidity etc..? the bible also states that noah took a sample for each kind of animal. this is imposible since there are animals found on other places which are not found in noah's continent. if he was able to circumnavigate the entire globe to get a small sample for each kind, then he will be faced with the problem of logistics to transfer them to the arc. that undertaking itself is much more huge than the building of the arc!

fresia, Great observation. I could personally observe such strategy first hand now. They are monitoring pledges on each individual grouping them by CBS to ensure everyone could met their donation. The CBS conductor could monitor each ones donation now!!!
